The software program is ArborPro 3.1, and is developed by ArborPro Management Software, a California company. The software is basically an inventory system that will be able to keep track of the status and location of each individual tree in Minot once all the data is loaded into the program.
Brian Johnson, city forester for Minot, said they still have some work to do before everything is up and running, but the end result will be worth it. Once all the data is entered into the system, a wealth of information about each tree on the boulevards and in the parks of Minot will be at the fingertips of the forestry department.
